New Delhi Staff Selection Commission has released result of SSC CGL Tier I exam on August 20. Candidates can check SSC CGL 2019 result Tier 1 from the official website ssc.nic.in. A total of 1,762,254 candidates did not take SSG CGL 2018 Tier 1 exam. The Commission had also conducted re-examination for 4825 candidates on June 19, 2019 for the candidates who faced technical glitches during the exam. As per the experts, it is a huge dip in number of test takers for SSC CGL which reflects disinterest of candidates for the government exams due to yearlong recruitment process.

How to check SSC CGL Result Tier I: The stepwise procedure to check result

Step 1: Visit the official site of Staff Selection Commission (SSC)

Step 2: Go to the result link available on the homepage

Step 3: Click on the result tab to open the result login page

Step 4: Once, the login page opens, enter date of birth and registration number

Step 5: SSC CGL 2019 result appears on the screen

Step 6: Download and take a printout of result for future references

Candidates have to qualify each stage of recruitment process as the final selection of candidates for the chosen posts, will be done as per the aggregate marks scored in Tier I, II and III.

SSC CGL 2018 is a national level recruitment exam conducted for filling up approximately 9000 Group B posts vacancies in various ministries and departments of Government of India like Central Vigilance Commission, Intelligence Bureau, Ministry of Railway, Ministry of External Affairs, Controller General of Account, Central Secretariat Service, etc.

Candidates who qualifies the Tier 1 exam are eligible to appear for the subsequent stages of CGLE exam. The SSC CGL is conducted in four tiers, wherein Tier I & II is computer-based test while Tier III is pen and paper-based exam descriptive in nature followed by Computer Proficiency Test/ Skill Test (wherever applicable)/ Document Verification.
