MCC warns against fake allotment for UG, PG admissions under central pool quota

New Delhi July 30: Students have been warned by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) against fake allotment/nomination letter for admission to undergraduate (MBBS/BDS) and postgraduate admission (MD/MS/Diploma and MDS) seats under the central pool quota.

Dubious authorities offering fake allotment, nomination letters

MCC website has released a notice according to which, the committee has stated that it has been made aware of dubious authorities that have been involved in issuing fake allotment/nomination letters for admission to medical and dental seats that come under the central pool quota. The students and institutions have been asked by the committee to be aware of such irregularities. Police station has also been asked by it to lodge an FIR without delay on receiving any complaint in this regard.

“It is essential to mention that Nomination Letter for Undergraduate (MBBS/BDS) seats under the Central Pool Quota to the eligible candidates is issued only by Ministry of Health and FW, Govt. of India, New Delhi based on the recommendation of concerned State Government. All the Medical / Dental colleges are requested to take confirmation from Ministry of Health and FW and Directorate General of Health Services, Govt. of India, New Delhi on an immediate basis before giving admission to candidates to stop such irregularities,” reads the notice.

Medical Counselling Committee has also informed students and parents to refer only to the official MCC website,, in case they want to get any information regarding admission or counselling.

The Medical Counselling Committee, DGHS, MoHFW, Nirman Bhawan, New Delhi operates and maintains the only official website,, for allotment process. In case a candidate submits any documents or makes a payment towards any other website, then MCC will not be held responsible.

About counselling process

At the time of registration, candidates are required to pay non- refundable registration counseling fees and refundable tuition fees.

Under the counselling done by the MCC, candidates, who are native of either Andhra Pradesh or Telangana, are eligible for participation against the fifteen per cent All India Quota seats.

Seats reserved under PH Category have been increased from three per cent to five per cent. Also, the 21 Benchmark Disabilities as envisaged under the regulations of “THE RIGHTS OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES ACT 2016” are included under the PH category for participation.
