Karnataka COMEDK UGET 2019 to be held on May 12, application form available now

New Delhi, April 4: The Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET) for admission in the engineering courses — conducted by Uni-GAUGE — including Bachelor’s in Engineering (BE) and Bachelor’s in Technology (B.Tech) in Karnataka will be conducted on May 12, 2019 (Sunday) in 400 test centres across 140 cities. The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) is accepting the applications now and the process will conclude on April 19.

The COMEDK scores will be accepted by more than 180 institutes and 21 universities. The application form can be filled in online mode at the official websites — unigauge.com or comedk.org.

Eligibility criteria

Only those students are eligible to apply who have passed/pursuing Class 12 or PUC or equivalent exam as approved by AICTE. They must have physics, chemistry and mathematics (PCM) as compulsory subjects with a minimum of 45 per cent aggregate marks.

Selection procedure

In June/July, the qualified candidates will be required to attend centralised counselling in Bangalore after receiving their rank card.

Steps to apply

Step 1- Candidates should visit the official website, comedk.org.

Step 2- On the homepage, they should scroll down to click ‘Click here to register/log-in’. a new page will get opened.

Step 3- ‘Log-in/Register’ should be clicked.

Step 4- On the new page, they should click on ‘Click here for registration’.

Step 5- Applicants should fill details to register.

Step 6- The registered ID should be used to log-in.

Step 7- The applicants should fill the form and upload documents.

Step 8- Finally, payment should be made.

Application fee

  • Applicants opting for only Uni-GAUGE- Rs 1600
  • Applicants opting for only COMEDK- Rs 1500
  • Applicants opting for both- Rs 2400

Candidates opting for COMEDK only will take admission via offline centralised counselling that will be held in Bangalore.

As per an official statement, as many as 1.25 lakh candidates are expected to appear for the entrance test. Last year, a total of 75,600 candidates appeared for COMEDK and 19,800 candidates appeared for Uni-GAUGE.
