IIM Calcutta releases CAT 2018 admit card on October 24

NEW DELHI, OCTOBER 25: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta, the exam conducting body of Common Admission Test (CAT) 2018, has released the admit card on October 24 in online mode. Only those applicants can download it who had successfully filled and submitted the application form along with paying the registration fee before the last date.

To download their admit card, applicants are required to log into their account using the user ID and password. The candidates have to carry their hall ticket to the test centre on the exam day, i.e., November 25.

Steps to download CAT 2018 admit card

  1. Visit the official website of CAT 2018.
  2. Click on ‘Download CAT 2018 Admit Card’ tab displayed on the right side.
  3. Enter the user ID and password to log in.
  4. You will be directed to the page of admit card. After checking all the details carefully, click on ‘Download Admit Card’ tab.
  5. Download the admit card and save it for future correspondence.

Details displayed on admit card

Following details will be mentioned on the admit card of CAT 2018:

  • Candidate’s name
  • Date of Birth
  • CAT 2018 registration number and user ID
  • Category
  • Date and slot of CAT 2018
  • Name of exam centre and address
  • Test system number
  • Candidate’s photograph
  • Candidate’s signature
  • Exam day guidelines

Exam pattern of CAT 2018

CAT 2018 will be a computer-based test, and candidates will be given three hours to attempt 100 objective type questions divided into the following three sections:

  1. Verbal Ability & Reading Compression (VARC) – 34 questions
  2. Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DI & LR) – 32 questions
  3. Quantitative Ability (QA) – 34 questions

Exactly one hour will be given to answer each section. Switching from one section to another will not be allowed.

About Common Admission Test

Every year, IIMs conduct CAT on a rotational basis for admissions to as many as 20 IIMs and more than 100 B-schools across India. Nearly 4,000 seats are offered across postgraduate management programmes. Nearly two lakh aspirants appear every year for this coveted MBA entrance exam of India.

CAT 2018 will be held on November 25 in two sessions across a total of 147 cities.
