New Delhi. April 17. Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) in the capital has advertised for vacancies on contract basis. The recruitment notification lists over thirty positions that include Cameraman, Video Editor, Graphic Artist, IT Consultant, etc. The notification also includes positions for Accounts Assistant and Data Entry Operator.
Appointments will be done for an initial period of six months, extendable up to a maximum of two years
The recruitments are been done under the projects of SWAYAM and SWAYAM PRABHA undertaken by IGNOU. The projects have proposed to engage the services of qualified and experienced professionals for the advertised positions. The positions would be based at IGNOU headquarters in New Delhi and would initially be for a period of six months. As mentioned, the vacancies are temporary in nature. Any extension in service period would be based on the requirement of the project and the performance of the candidate. It must also be noted that the services will not be extended beyond a maximum period of two years and can also be terminated if the project requirements are met with before that.

Selection procedure to involve skill test and interview, shortlisted candidates to be informed online
As the advertised positions are mostly skill based, the selection procedure would involve a skill test in the respective area of the candidate. Once the screening of applications would be done, the shortlisted candidates would be informed via email about the skill test. The final step would involve an interview after which the appointments would be finalised.
