DU Admission 2019: Online registration for foreign nationals to begin from February 22

New Delhi, Feb 22: Foreign applicants looking for admissions in Delhi University’s (DU) undergraduate (UG) or postgraduate (PG) programmes can register in online mode from Friday, February 22, 2019 onwards. Foreign applicants can apply for admissions to the University UG, PG, M.Phil, Ph.D., Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma programmes through the official website, fsr.du.ac.in.

“The University offers more than 500 programmes at various levels. Foreign students’ applicants are not required to take an entrance test for admission to these programmes,” the official notification mentioned.

In 2018, more than 3,000 foreign students applied for admissions across various courses at the Varsity.

DU received as many as 317 and 316 applications from Nepal and Tibet respectively, along with 111 applications from Afghanistan. Other countries with the high number of applications include United States (48), Bangladesh (45), Ethiopia (28), United Kingdom (16) and Sri Lanka (11). Seven applications were received each from Myanmar and Mauritius, along with nine from China.

B.Com (Hons), B.Com, BA English (Hons) emerged as most popular courses last year

In 2018, the most sought-after courses among these students were B.Com (Hons), B.Com and BA English (Hons). As many as 69, 61 and 36 students took admission in these programmes respectively. College-wise, Ramjas College, Hansraj College, Hindu College, SRCC, Kirori Mal College, Indraprastha College for Women, Miranda House and Daulat Ram College emerged as the most popular ones.
