CMC Vellore admissions 2019: Application form available now; last date to apply March 26

New Delhi, Feb 17: The admission procedure at Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore has been started for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The admission will be done for MBBS, B.Sc Nursing, Allied Health Science Degree, Nursing, Diploma, M.Sc, MPH and Fellowship courses.

The online application form is available now. Interested candidates can apply through the official website, admissions.cmcvellore.ac.in.

Eligibility criteria

For MBBS course, it is mandatory for the candidates to clear the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Only the qualified ones can apply for admission to MBBS courses. Moreover, the candidates will be selected based on their performance in NEET.

For nursing course, the candidates must have cleared Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or equivalent (12 years schooling) exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology) and English in the first attempt with at least 50 per cent aggregate marks as a regular student from a recognised board.

Those appearing for the final year of qualifying examination during the current academic session are also eligible to apply provisionally.

Before joining the course, the shortlisted candidates will be required to submit the proof of passing the qualifying exam with requisite subjects and marks.

Application process

Aspirants can apply in online mode through the official website, admissions.cmcvellore.ac.in. After filling the form, it should be sent to ‘The Registrar, Christian Medical College, Vellore-632004’.

The last date to apply is March 26, 2019. “Summer Admissions 2019 Bulletin is available on our website. The last date for online application submission with payment is 26th March 2019. Relevant enclosures/documents should reach the Office of the Registrar not later than 2nd April 2019,” the official notification states.

Paper pattern of NEET UG 2019

A total of three hours will be given to the test-takers to complete the paper. There will be three sections- physics, chemistry and biology.

As many as 180 questions will be asked out of which 90 will be from biology and 45 each from physics and chemistry. The preparation syllabus comprises topics from Class 11 and Class 12 standard NCERT textbooks. Each correct response will fetch four marks, whereas one mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. No marks will be deducted for the unattempted questions.
