CBSE Class 10 results 2019: 13 students share top position with 499 marks out of 500

New Delhi, May 6: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the results of the Class 10 board exams on Monday, May 6, 2019. The top position has been secured by as many as thirteen students, who have obtained 499 marks out of 500. Of these, a total of seven toppers are boys and the remaining six are girls.

Twenty four students share the second position with 498 marks out of 500, and as many as 58 students have scored 497 marks. As many as 2,25,143 students have scored 90 per cent and above and 57,256 have obtained 95 per cent  and more.

Dilwin Prince has emerged as the topper from Children With Special Needs (CWSN) category with 493 marks out of 500. He is from Trivandrum region.

The result can be accessed from the official websites of CBSE- and The exams were conducted From February 15 to April 4, 2019. The total pass percentage in CBSE Class 10 exam this year is 91.1 per cent, which is 4.40 per cent higher than the last year.

Region-wise pass percentage

Trivandrum with 99.85 per cent is the top region where the pass percentage is highest. Chennai with 99 per cent and Ajmer with 95.89 per cent are at the second and third position respectively. The rest of the top regions can be checked in the table given below:

Like last year, this year also girls have done better than boys by 2.31 per cent. As many as 90.14 per cent boys have passed the exam, whereas the girls’ pass percentage is 92.45.

CBSE has released the results of Classes 10 and 12 before ICSE, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Punjab and Maharashtra boards.
